The UN has declared 2012 International Women's Day as one to Empower Women- End Poverty and Hunger. A huge theme. On hunger alone, in a population of 7 billion, 1 billion go to bed hungry each night. So if you were born today you would have a one in seven chance of being born hungry. A sad reflection on us as a species.
